Filling for Certificate to Move
Washington Adventist Hospital has filed to move the hospital from Takoma Park to Calverton/White Oak. The move would turn the current 287 bed hospital to 700,000 square foot facility with 2,100 parking space and would employ 3,000 workers.
WAH settled with Family of Trapped Bathroom Patient
In a news reported by WTOP.com, a patient died after suffering a cardiac event when in the bathroom of his semi-private hospital room four days after being admitted because the hospital staff could not get to him to treat him. After the incident, the hospital removed all the locks to the bathroom after keys were distributed.
